"I don’t know what I would do had I not been taught how to treat people the right way, do things equitably, stick up for yourself and for all the people who are marginalized and give a voice to the voiceless."
- Harold Miller '95, Holy Cross High School Board Member
Holy Cross High School was founded as a “neighborhood school”, meaning that our unique brand of education should be accessible to all. Our doors and minds are open to people of all races, ethnicities. socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and religious affiliations. As each day passes by, we welcome the gifts of enlightenment and awareness to build a community that is imbued with respect, understanding and equity.
The Student Leadership Diversity Board
Holy Cross High School’s Student Leadership Diversity Board, founded in 2019, is dedicated to expanding the representation of student voices and discussing different issues affecting the greater Holy Cross community and the world around us. This student group of all grade levels holds meetings to discuss diversity, equity, implicit bias, discrimination and experiences of marginalized individuals.
According to their Mission Statement, they are “committed to starting conversations which will allow students to hear and share different perspectives. We hope for ongoing conversations about diversity, inclusion and equity within our community.”
